You should try this place out. I had the Mongolian with chicken. Very tasty and fresh ingredients. I also enjoyed the Kung Pao Chicken, but sometimes its too spicy and other times it's too mild, still delicious. I do not recommend the spring rolls. They taste frozen and I do not think they are homemade. They are tiny with light filling, barely any veggies and mostly the rice noodles. Not good. Service is a hit or mis. Do not look at the prices on the yelp menu, they are underpriced. Overall I will continue to come here because it's one of my favorite Asian fix on the beach.

First off, the delivery time was fast i'll give them that. I ordered volcano roll and brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts are burnt and the half of the volcano roll is cream cheese and imitation crabs were used. Full on imitation crabs. I barely tasted the other ingredients. I regret ordering here.

We walked in expecting run of the mill fare. We were pleasantly surprised by the range of the menu offerings and customer service. We had a great time, and I highly recommend this establishment to you and your friends.

Food was Sub-Par and just "sloppy" We ordered out and it took over an hour to get (we live 5 blocks away).. Despite the wait if the food was better I would have given them a "pass" but late + shitty food just cant work.. DISAPPOINTING

Lets just say there was a point in my life that I was here several times a week. I could not get enough of the orange peel chicken and I liked it so much that I refused to try anything else. The regular and chili ginger edamame always part of my order. The lunch specials here (monday-friday until 5) are what I couldn't stay away from. Any entree + spring roll, asian coleslaw or cup of soup.

DO NOT EAT HERE*** DO NOT EAT HERE***DO NOT EAT HERE*** Scan your food for metal. DO NOT EAT HERE, PEOPLE! Unless you want to eat metal. Straight up chunks of METAL in your food. The food is not worth it regardless, but especially if you have to sift through food to find 'treasures'. And don't expect the restaurant to care. When I called back to kindly let them know that they are serving harmful food that could have choked me and cut my mouth open- I ran into the most undesirable service EVER. "Laura" decided to hang up on me three times when I simply asked for a manager. The rude girl on the phone told me to call the delivery company that I ordered through (not that it had ANYTHING to do with the metal but because they are the ones that charged me) and then hung up on me. No, "I'm so sorry we served you NON EDIBLES in your food" No, "We apologize for putting METAL in your Lo Mein" No, "Can I send a refund or a get you another meal" No, "We will take care of this because it is clearly our problem" "Laura" hung up on me three times, told me that she didn't care if if called a manager, and smirked when I told her I would call one later. Clearly, she doesn't respect anyone, so I'm not sure why she is working with human beings. To "Laura", I'm sure your life sucks working off of tips in a restaurant with ZERO people ever inside. But now I know why, and I don't feel bad one bit. You are entitled and have horrible communication skills. You probably can't do much better, but someone should care that you disrespect their management and company. Do your company a favor and get a job where you have zero interaction with people. You're a sad, pathetic, defensive and unprofessional. Good luck getting through life with your attitude. To the owner of Wok Town, You should take a peak into your management team. I've NEVER, in my life, called a restaurant and asked to speak to a manager just to get hung up on. I'm sure you're not teaching that during training. I've never had such a difficult time trying to let a restaurant know that there was a problem. I've never been so disrespected on the beach. Our office will no longer be sending any of our employers or clients to your establishment. You can 'thank' Laura (if there aren't any Laura's and she gave a false name... the name on my receipt is Monica and it was during lunch today 3/24/2015.

The food is delicious, and they have an interesting menu. Aside from the interesting salads, all the dishes are very calorie heavy - pasta, rice and breaded dishes. I wish they had some pure steamed or wok stir fried dishes. The service is "cool" and "caring" in a way. But not necessarily "rude" as some other venues in the beach . The inside is very small with only a few tables but pleasant. Caution - for the delivery. It takes way too long, and the food arrives, soggy, cold and unpleasant. Note - it is difficult to get to the location right now because of the road work being done in front of the building on Alton. But you can find parking on one of the side streets. Try the miso soup it's outstanding.

Chicken fried was really bad.... Chicken satay was horrible.... Honestly, one of the first times we had to return food and leave it was that bad. The manager was very understanding and took care of us refunding the food we didn't like.

I know not to expect high quality food from Chinese places, specially in Miami.. but wow...the food here is really bad. I paid $2 extra for fried rice and I got some mushy rice that tasted odd and the texture was horrible. If a Chinese can't do a decent fried rice then...well... I also had the mongolian chicken since a lot of people praised it. I really don't understand what's to praise. It was bland and while at least this was edible (unlike the rice which I threw away after the first bite) it was not enough. Very bad. Will not order again.

My friend and I were in a rush to catch a movie, so we didn't want to deal with the Miami style of service (read: slow, laidback) found at most restaurants, but we didn't want to settle with rubbery McDonald's burgers either. I wanted to try Eat Greek Souvlaki but it looked like it was under construction, so I decided we should go for Chinese, since we barely ever do. Wok Town is a chain and I had actually tried their downtown Miami location once, so I knew what to expect. Upon checking in, I was offered a free bowl of soup. Okay, free food...you got my attention. I got the hot and sour soup (the other option being miso), and decided to get the Mongolian chicken. It was ready quickly, and with pretty colors. No overcooked, browned, soggy veggies here. The food reminds me of Pei Wei, actually. It's better than Panda Express and more expensive, but not as fancy as P.F. Chang's. The food was tasty, with a good sized portion, the hot and sour soup was less salty than P.F. Chang's thank goodness, which should be called "a bowl of high blood pressure" soup. Seriously. Look it up, but I digress. At about $12, WT wasn't as cheap as most standard greasy Chinese joints that charge $8-$10 and throw in an eggroll and fried rice, but like I said, it wasn't expensive either; mid-range. Their lunch deals seem more of a bargain as they throw in the eggroll and a soup or Asian coleslaw with the same entree for $9.99, more food and at a cheaper price. Parking is probably a nightmare thanks to the ongoing Alton Road destruction, but they do provide delivery and if you live within walking distance to Lincoln Road mall (or if you parked near Lincoln Road, as we did), you can easily walk.

It's just...ok. The atmosphere is modern and it has a "cool" South Beach feel. Definitely appeals to the young crowd in the area. However, the food isn't the best. It's just - eh. I've had the Mongolian chicken and I've definitely had much better from other local hole-in-the-wall type places. Especially for the price; it was way too small a portion for the price. I've gotten four times more chicken from other places for less than this price. Spring rolls were also average but definitely not bad. Just an "okay" place, in my opinion. There's better (and more affordable!) Chinese food around.

Ordered a singapore curry noodle as well as 2 types of sushi. The noodles were super delish with strong south east asian flavors. The sushi was decent, while it was fresh the taste was underwhelming.. We even had a confusion in the order and the lady behind the counter graciously waived the extra fee than what we had swiped. The order was through a groupon but still the quality was above than the price we paid

DO NOT EAT HERE. My husband and I ordered 3 dishes and all 3 were wrong. First, my bagel roll was HOT when it arrived. Hot sushi. We asked for extra ginger and wasabi and got zero ginger and zero wasabi. And it was doused in soy sauce. Who does that?? The other 2 dishes were supposed to be without bell peppers and they arrived riddled with bell peppers. The "coconut curry" dish ... IS NOT COCONUT CURRY. It is yellow curry with no hint of coconut. And it also has no flavor and comes with mysterious twigs in it that don't even resemble food. Aside from all that, the order was promised in 45-60 minutes and showed up after about an hour and 45 minutes. The girl at the restaurant who answered my call about all of this awful food failed to a) apologize, and b) actually address the problem. Horrific experience all around.

This is NOT a Chinese Resto a la Panda Express etc. That was what we were hopping for at 11 pm. That said, the food was a revelation. The sushi roll using plantains instead of sushi rice was amazing and the crispy Brussels sprouts were delicious. My friend's dish was just decent but mine was very very satisfying. Oh, and very good hot and sour soup - free courtesy of checking in on Yelp!

I love wok town for fast fresh friendly food. Their sushi menu is delicious and their bowls are awesome. I buy their groupons here and there as well. I have never had a bad meal or service at this venue...it's a great weeknight spot...keep it up wok town

Glad they added a sushi menu and it's a perfect amount of items. They give great portion sizes perfect for sharing or dinner & left overs. I enjoy the Pad Thai and soups are great! Quick service which is perfect for a walk-in take out. The parking wasn't that bad which was something that I was a little worried about.

Have been to the other Wok Town and enjoyed it - was so happy to see it open right near us! Staff is friendly and caring (we don't do delivery, so can't comment on that or any of the other things people mentioned about slow timing etc) The last 5 or 6 times we have gone in it's been somewhat busy - 4 or 5 other groups in there. It's a cute, small place - very clean and simple but modern inside. They now have comfortable outdoor seating and ipads for signing / receipts etc which is nice. We have never waited more than 8-10 minutes for our food and there are always 4 or 5 people working which is good. We've tried a number of the noodle, beef and chicken dishes. I'ts easy for chicken to be bland/tough but we have all really liked it every time - moist and cooked perfectly. The noodles are great (make sure to ask for mild for some if you don't like a lot of spice) and the portions are good - always leave full and sometimes with extra. NOT oily like most of the takeout Chinese places - that is a huge plus for us. Ingredients are a step up from most places too, and well worth a few extra bucks. Yes, you can pay a little bit less elsewhere but you are getting lesser quality food and more grease (that UGH, never eating Chinese feeling after) We never feel that way here! Like that they offer Groupons and restaurant.com also. Saw some complaints here about not being able to use multiples at once - not sure why, it says clearly one per visit/person/table, and that's how all Groupons are. I see they left out the "minimum $20" part so I understand about that, but really - going in with a $10 groupon and spending $10 is just ridiculous and rude. The point of all of these things is to save you some money and drum up more business, not to spend only the exact dollar amount and use separate ones at once. Hopefully the place will add the $10 off $20" for next time so there won't be any confusion on that. All in all, a really cute fresh place that's a step up from your normal takeout and won't leave you feeling gross after :) Will definitely be back...

You should know that I'm pretty easy to please with Chinese food. The Hot and Sour soup was not good. I had a sip of it and literally threw it out. Some really strange too salty flavor going on in there that I just can't explain. They say you can tell how good a Chinese restaurant is by the hot and sour soup and this did not pass that test at all. The Singapore curry noodles are really spicy. I got medium spicy because I can handle pretty spicy stuff, but it was kind of bitter and dry. I tried to eat it and ended up throwing it out at well after a few bites. The only thing here that I did really like is the veggie spring rolls.

Horrible! This place used to be good but not sure what happened...ordered delivery and the dishes came with huge chunks of meat (guess someone was to lazy that day). The rice was hard and seemed old and the dumplings had little filling and had no taste. Never ordering from them again!

Surely one of the best little spots on Miami beach. I can go on and on but simply put, from the super friendly staff, to the diverse and incredibly we'll seasoned wok dishes, to the bubble teas, Wok Town is a highlight night out of dining for us. When writing this review, it is true Alton Rd is a disaster and parking is tough, but make the effort, support this little local business as the food is amazing. I recommend either the Shrimp Pad Thai, the Salad Wok with Chicken or any of the rice dishes. All amazing! UPDATE: 2/6/14 Tonight I had the Asian Chicken Salad - this dish is just unbelievable. It is a fresh mix of chicken, greens, vegetables, noodles and just flavor I cannot begin to describe. Highly recommend this entree. Keep it up Wok Town!

I ordered delivery and it took over an hour and it still didn't arrive. I called the restaurant to follow up and the girl who answered the phone didn't give a flying fuq about where my food was or why it was late. Horrible service, they lost another customer forever. Why bother having a job if you can't be grateful for it and provide customer service in the SERVICE industry?

Best Thai food in south beach/ downtown / midtown. I wish this was closer to me. When I am craving some pad Thai this is the only decent place around. Normally I call ahead and order take out the drive their which is a pain because of all the construction) but i park on the street and just run in pick it up and come home. I have tried all the dishes and it's all fabulous. The favors are good, the veggies crisp, I hope they keep up the quality. You can adjust the spicy factor which is good for me because I have a cats tongue. They don't deliver over the bridge that's a bummer but the food is so good I make the drive. I typically over order so I have left overs for a day or two, to make the drive worth it.

This place is the absolute pits. No one is ever there for a reason. I should have got a clue. Tried to check out the Groupon, they wouldn't accept the $10 coupon unless I spend $20! It was never mentioned in the fine print. That is the least of my problems. Then comes . I regret my day going there. No one should experience this. 1) menu items not being there 2) clueless and indifferent staff 3) wrong order (wrong sauces and wrong rice) 4) beef that was deep fried instead of stir fried 5) a soup that could have come out of you know where 6) food that eventually came tasted like a$$. Terrible experience. Never again.

My search for good Chinese continues. Good Chinese food in Miami is just about as rare as a leprechaun sighting in Miami. Have you ever seen a leprechaun in Miami? No? Well same goes for my adventure in having good Chinese food in Miami as well. When I went to Wok Town I wasn't expecting anything spectacular, but I was expecting to enjoy my meal more than I did. The first thing my friend and I ordered were the vegetable spring rolls. They were pretty good. Your average fare at a restaurant like this. For my meal I got Mongolian Chicken with brown rice. This was just average. I know you don't usually eat Mongolian Chicken, but if it's offered on the menu I expected it to be good. My friend got the tofu and vegetable fried rice box and again was just satisfied. My friend also tried ordering mango sorbet, but they didn't have any. So she asked for lychee sorbet, and they also didn't have any. Talk about a disappointment! They definitely lost a couple a brownie points with us for that. The meal was just OK, and I don't see myself running back to have anything from there anytime soon.

Excellent. First off, Monica is fabulous. I love the attention she gave to our order. I had 5 orders and everyone paid with a different card. She was very patient and answered all of our questions. I ordered the curry coconut chicken with brown rice. It was amazing. So delicious. The california roll is also very good. We will be ordering from there again...

I feel desperate for having consumed the slop that was my dinner order. Sushi was mushy and soggy, Mongolian beef was chunky and undercooked. Delivery took forever despite being literally 7 minutes away from restaurant. Extremely overpriced, horrible phone manner.

This was a real mess with my last order because the food was sooooo spicy even I put a instruction asking "NO SPICY PLEASE". First they should fix their website because it seems it is impossible to cook no spicy / Second they should read instruction / Third more consideration for their clients would be perfect because when I went back all the employees gave me attitude!!!! From a local - NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

ordered for take out tip: there is parking directly behind the building but there is limited space I purchased a groupon deal for this. I ordered the lo mein and sweet and sour chicken with a goyza appetizer. the food was average, I will say it's less greasy than normal which was a plus. the reason for deducting three stars: first it's pretty expensive for chinese take out. second, I thought they were really shady with the groupon deal. the deal was advertised as dinner for two for $30. there were three separate $10 vouchers. I ordered $30 and came in with the vouchers. I was then told that they would only honor one voucher per visit and each order must be over $20. I was not the only customer who was mislead by the deal. I don't think that it's good business to do this.

Full Disclosure: the owner offered a complimentary meal to me as an apology and this review is based on the complimentary meal. This time the customer service level was very good. I ordered beef udon, steamed gyoza and boba tea. I definitely like the green tea boba. It is not super sweet like the normal boba you find on street. The steamed gyoza--it is probably pre-packaged food so the taste is OK but not exciting. Beef udon-the udon is great! The beef is not as tender as I had expected.

Just A-OK.. and very just... Their lunch specials are very well priced, $9.99 (+tip and tax) for a soup and any entree in the menu. The thing is the food is pretty "okeish". Its not so hard to make a good pad thai, but the one at Wok Town is over seasoned and just not very good... and I LOVE pad-thai. I love it sooo much that I have gone back a couple times just to see if it gets any better... maybe next time? Portion sizes are perfect, sometimes they skimp a little bit on the shrimp.. but for $9? cant complain. However if you pay full price (As in non-lunch menu prices) it does annoy you a bit. This is a good lunch spot.. not great (it could be) but very good and very affordable. Service is good (sometimes it only 1-2 guys working) but they do out of their way to provide good service. Definitely worth a try.

The bad reviews are odd. I've enjoyed Chinese (or Asian fusion, as its now frequently referred to) for many years. I wouldn't say this is the best I've ever had but it's a solid four stars. I had wok shrimp with jasmine rice. The onions weren't cooked well enough for my tastes, however the meal was otherwise excellent. I plan to try many more dishes. The price is a bit high (you're looking at $16 for a takeout entree). But it's South Beach so that's pretty much par.

The staff is hit or miss sometimes. I've found the last couple of times I've been the staff seemed annoyed with being at work. However, the food is very good! I'm a local and I eat here about once a month or so.

And Alton Road can now boast another 'ok' restaurant. When will Miami Beach (South Beach, in particular) start wanting and expecting more from its culinary scene? The burden cannot rest upon the same couple of restaurants time and again. I digress. Everyone know that finding quality Chinese fare in Miami is akin to searching for the Yeti. Still, I soldiered on, buoyed by accounts from friends that my search would end with Wok Town. It did not. First impressions: walking into the restaurant, *I* was almost overwhelmed by panic. The staff was in such a disorganized frenzy, it was nearly contagious. This kind of frenetic scene does not lend itself to confidence in the establishment. They can't control all of it; WT has an open kitchen so when the staff is in the weeds, you know it. My suggestion: practice practice practice. If I am coming to your establishment to spend money, at least trick me in to believing you have it all together. I ordered the honey garlic chicken to go... and, what's this? The rice comes separate?* Extra. Nice. Well, not really. Not at all. Here's a tip: when ordering Chinese food, most people expect and want to eat rice with the protein. I sat around. Watched the chaos. Listened to staff yell at each other. Grabbed my food and came home. There was nothing bad about my meal but it was boring. Bland. It filled me up but failed to excite me. In that respect, I suppose it's 'ok.' I ate it. I didn't get sick. I wouldn't come back. *Examining the menu, it appears the rice SHOULD have come with my meal. Either this is a recent change or that disorganization thing I mentioned earlier reared its ugly head again.

got delivery the food was SERIOUSLY bland even tho i asked for extra spicy on both entrees - & they didn't even send ONE pkt of soy sauce even tho i asked for extra THIS IS YOUR JOB- YOU SHOULD KNOW TO SEND SOY SAUCE WITH CHINESE FOOD ORDERS. the only thing that was ok was the Brussels sprouts appetizer and the delivery person was friendly

I am not impressed AT ALL! First off the prices are outrageous, I understand that it's South Beach and everything is expensive but $18 for spring rolls and lettuce wraps, is a little too much. The eggs rolls were burnt beyond belief, lettuce wraps were good. When the delivery man got here, he was rude and was cursing at me in Spanish because he said it should be 20% tip lol for a delivery. Poor service, burnt egg rolls. Maybe just dont do do delivery! I know that their other food is actually good!

Truly love the Pad Thai but dislike the costumer service. Don't think it's appropriate for the restaurant to call and scold me because the driver couldn't deliver the food due to not correctly calling my number. Assuming it was my fault was rude as the drive apologized for his mistake... Not cool

Before the spot opened ive been hoping for at least one good asian place on south beach. I usually get the create ur own wok meal - u can choose what u would like in ur wok. The soups are good also. Everytime i ate here the food was fresh and good. The people that work there are friendly especially the girls at the cashier. I would recommend this place to my friends and already did so. Prices are also good .

Almost a Triple B = "Bueno, Bonito y casi Barato." Bueno = Really good chinese food. Very fresh, tasty, the plates do not have extremes amount of soy sauce or sauces and when you order an entree you get an entree! Not like other places that you get more vegetables and sauce rather than the actual meat or chicken. Bonito = The place is cute for the small location, and the food is served simple to what the menu exactly offers. Barato = Not cheap, but not THAT expensive. It points more towards the expensive side because it is close to lincoln rd. and competing against yummy's on the next block north. So far, the Chicken Fried Rice Box is a BOX of chicken fried rice. Easily can feed 3 people. And the Sweet Sour Chicken is delicious. Easily can feed 2 people. I will be returning!

I ordered two simple dishes at 8:02- it arrived at my house 2 blocks away at 10:02. In the process of me trying to find out if I was getting a meal. I was hung up on 6 times. Upon receiving the food I walked to the location in 5 minutes and demanded a refund. Do yourself a favor: skip it.

This location has some very tasty food. Living downtown when this restaurant first opened we ordered quite frequently. Then I started to not care for it as much. We popped into this location and had dinner inside. The staff were super friendly and very helpful with great suggestions. Egg rolls here were so good. After I ate one I had to have another, cooked perfectly with great flavor. I could not decide what I wAnted so the friendly guy helping us at the counter suggested a special spicy shrimp that they were featuring that night. Oh was I glad I ordered it. Just enough spice, good size portion. Shrimp were fresh and the spice that they used was so good. We all really enjoyed every dish we ordered. Fast forward a month later we ordered from the downtown location and it was no where near the deliciousness and quality of food we had at this location. Also as we sat there eating the manager came over several times to make sure everything was good. Great good, reasonable prices, very fresh with excellent service. See you soon!

Good enough Chinese food for me. It's above average than a regular Chinese take out place. It's on a higher scale and so are the prices. So you get what you pay for. But I would definitely order from them again.

I ordered bubble tea there and it was not shaken and was all powder. I can say the chicken lettuce wraps are ok, even though my husband hates them there. I add tofu into them to make them better for me. It's something quick to eat since I live down the street. That's the reason I've been back. I was going to rate them and give them 2 or 3 stars, but on my last visit on Wednesday may 27th in the afternoon, it made me change my mind for the worse. The girl working was rude, seemed flustered, and not very knowledgeable about the few items they have on the menu. Before I ordered, I was asking about the lunch specials and the girl acted like she was annoyed she had to answer. So then I tried to order my normal chicken lettuce wraps with the tofu and the girl said "no sorry, we don't do that, we can't add tofu" and I assured her I ordered last week and a few times before, and they just charged me a little extra. She walked to the chef and said "no he won't do that, so they probably changed things" I'm not too upset about that bc I would've got it without tofu, but her demeanor and attitude was horrible. I left and ate next door. I've tried other things on the menu such as Singapore noodles and the orange chicken. Both were nothing special. I can't stand rude people especially from someone who works in the service industry. It makes a bad reflection on the company and hopefully they fix that. Because when someone doesn't like their job and act like they don't care, it reflects on the cleanliness and quality of the whole operation.

I just called (06/07) to place an order the girl who answered the phone is so nasty and rude, she was taking my order with a NASTY attitude, I asked to order a milk tea, she replied with a nasty attitude "we don't have that" and starts to laugh on the phone, I asked why is she so rude over the phone and she said "darling you have bad day" wtf..really? I asked for her name and she wouldn't tell me she then cont. to laugh and asked if I want to order or not. I feel so sorry for you, here's a tip B*TCH EDUCATE yourself, get a degree so you will have a better job and won't have to be such a miserable C*NT!!

Best Chinese food in SoBe. My number one place for Chinese take out. Hot and sour soup is pretty good. Brussels sprouts and Wok Town Lo Mein were really good. Beef was cooked perfectly.

I ordered delivery and when my food arrived, the lettuce for the lettuce wraps were brown and basically rotten and the udon noodles had a piece of metal material in it. My husband could've choked and needed serious medical help. Eating this mediocre food is NOT worth risking your health. These people obviously do not care about the quality of the food they give to their customers. Save your money. And possibly your life. The lemonade was pretty good though.

If I can give zero stars I would. They only add 2 pieces of shrimp to the pad thai. If you're paying :$15 in south beach.. Come on be generous with the food! The fried rice is oily and plain and disgusting! Stay away!!!

  • Jorge S.

First off, they said that the delivery was 45 minutes tops and it took them 1 hour 10 min. We ordered two soups, chicken dumpling noodle soup and pork dumpling noodle soup and both were pretty bad, definitely not what we were expecting. The dumplings were falling apart with no taste and we couldnt finish either soup, also we got the beef fried rice and spring rolls which were ok. I would definitely not recommend this place.

I love their pad thai it's so delicious. Also the spring rolls are good and you have to get the bubble tea! I have also tried their orange peel chicken which is really tasty. The customer service is good and everything is made when you order it. The only complaint is my drink came out after my food and I was soo thirsty.

Found Wok Town one night before we went to the movies. What a great discovery! Place is great. We can't go to Lincoln road without eating here. May seem pricey but it's TOTALLY worth it. This is one place at the beach you get your money's worth. They do a lot of take out business but it's comfy to eat in. The Pad Thai and Salads are all I've had and I've been happy each time. Free wifi and the staff is super friendly. Fight the Alton Road traffic for this one, you won't be disappointed.

I gotta say; The food here is not the best Chinese I've ever had, but it is definitely the best in this area. Portions are large as well. I'm a big dude and I barely finish the rice. The reason it gets 5 stars, is the service. I mean it's a fucking Chinese restaurant... I expected the typical old Asian lady taking my order with hardly evident linguistics. Every time I come here I get super friendly service and the employees are willing to go out of their way to make sure I am enjoying my food, and they're not even getting a tip. I always leave a tip in the tip jar though. I'm not a dick. So don't be a dick. Leave a tip in the tip jar, man.

Finally Asian casual dining on South Beach that is worth eating. Literally the day before getting their flyer in the mail, me and friends were talking about the lack of good Asian food on South Beach... Yummys is tragic... Kims... well its out of business so that says enough. One of the workers informed us it was there third day being open and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. Working in the hospitality industry myself I am very keen on customer service. I had the Mongolian Chicken with Brown Rice and my friend had the Orange Peel Chicken with White Rice and both dishes were tasty. Seeing this is only a block from my house I will definitely be back.

This has become my regualr lunch spot, the food is fresh, generous portions, good Asian flavors and healthy. Check in on Yelp and you get a free small soup. Love the chili paste, add it to everything. The noodle soups are great with veggies and the protein of your choice. Dumplings, wontons, choice of noodles, good broths, bring it on! You can also build your own plates/bowls with brown rice or noodles with sauces and proteins of your choice. The churascco salad is a great deal, best in town. One caveat, service is inconsistent and unprofessional. Mi Ami..............

I'm gonna go back and try it again. Sat there to eat. I had the honey and garlic and I thought the rice would come stirred in the chicken but they were completely separate. A heap of rice and a bowl of chicken. Will probably try a few more dishes there and I will come back to make a final decision. The Honey and garlic did not wow me but it wasn't disgusting. Itt was literally, A-OK.

The Udon noodles were... Bad and mostly tasteless. The pad Thai was dry and broken and... Bad, also. Delivery took forever. While there aren't a lot of good Asian restaurants around here, don't settle on this one.

I really mean 3.5 stars.. YELP!!!! Yelpers believe in the .5!!! sometimes it shouldn't be a 3 but a 4 is too much!!! Anyways, really excited that they brought Chinese/Asian restaurant to south beach! picked up take out...the Lo mein was very delicious. i ordered the veggie one and i enjoyed it very much. The fried rice on the other hand not so much...didnt taste the way chinese fried rice was supposed to taste...it was a bit starchy as well...i really think it was a bad batch..i am willing to try again and report back. The vegetable spring rolls app. were super yummy. crispy and crunch in the outside and dipping them in duck sauce is heaven! While waiting for my order to be wrapped to go, spoke to a gentleman who was having lunch at the counter his chicken looked mouth watering. and he said it was good. They have lunch specials. SO def. worth a try.

I frequently order delivery from Wok Town to satisfy my asian craving. The food here since the opening has been delicious and satisfying, always keeping me ordering when needed. The the last couple times I did ordered (one being tonight), the food was less than ok. Tonight, the rice was stale and old, the chicken dishes were dry and the beef was chewy. Waste of money for overpriced, bad asian food. Not sure I will eat here again. Will have to wait for another great asian place to open.

At $9.95 this might be the best lunch deal on the beach, especially with the free soup you get with your checkin on yelp!!! Too bad that again today I got fried chicken instead of the steamed I asked for. They are fixing it right now but I feel bad that they always seem to get this wrong, but that still doesnt take away from this amazing beach value!!!

Worst meal ever! After ordering in food from Wok Town online, we waited about 2 1/2 hrs for the food to arrive. The food is very underwhelming and the wait completely took our appetite away. I would never get food from this place ever again nor would I recommend it to anyone. Their customer service was horrible and it completely ruined our family Sunday night dinner.

This is the only place on South Beach I know to get decent Asian food. Everything I've ordered from here has been on point. The ONE thing I wasn't a fan of was the miso beef salad. Nothing wrong with it, just not my taste. Last night I got the Singapore Curry Noodles. Never had such a thing in my life but they were delicious. I ordered online and selected the Mild spice but even then they were still pretty hot. I like spice but for someone who doesn't, ordering even on Mild is going to be too much for them. Every time I order it's enough for at least 2 if not 3 meals. The food is fresh and super tasty. My favorite dish so far is the Mongolian with beef and brown rice. The salads are also a nice choice and you always get more than enough dressing. I've never had to ask for an extra side.

The cooking source IS FROM " SOURCE BAG" Most people can not taste the different, because you are not from asian country But I do. I cooking a lot asian food at home and know what is different from " bag " or from chopping board. Average dish Cost is "9.95" We spend $45, for 3 dish...WTF..You need asking the tap water!! UGLY Sitting area. REALLY? because SoBe....WTF Damage the Asian Reputation. SAD Restaurant again.....

My boyfriend loves Chinese food, I don't. So I wasn't expecting much when we came to Wok Town. We ordered the pork egg rolls, hot and sour soup, the yellow curry and he ordered a fried rice. Every dish was delicious! I would totally recommend it and now have a place he can indulge his Chinese food craving that I like too.

This is my second time eating with Wok. I ordered Pad Thai and Volcano. Girl on the phone was slightly disconnected or simply rushed which came off rude. Pad Thai was definitely sub par. Taste was just not of Thai palate. Might want to take off menu. The Volcano roll was just very wet. Second time that food was just mediocre. Sadly won't be trying it again. Sad because when I went into store it looked promising.

I hate to write bad reviews butttttttt I didn't have a very good experience with this place at all. we ordered food for delivery and were told 30 min. The food took over an hour, close to an hour and a half. When it arrived it was mediocre at best. I might be spoiled because I am originally from New York but the soup was very bland and the rice and beef was pretty tasteless. Hope people had better experiences than mine

This little restaurant is more than OK (no MSGs!!!). I'd been wanting to check it out for a few weeks prior to walking in and I'm glad I did. Their "Create Your Own Bowl" option is cool because you can pick and choose your ingredients. Their menu isn't huge, which tells me their food isn't sitting in a freezer for weeks at a time. But their online ordering system is what makes them stand apart for me. It's so easy to use and you can include the tip in the order. Their delivery time is half of what is expected and the delivery people have always been friendly. I plan to eventually order everything on their menu.

THEY DELIVER!! Chinese food which is AMAZING that actually delivers... I saw this place in the now defunct meatball place. Thought I'd stop in for a quick soup. Won Tons with a velvety soft silky smooth and THIN exterior... nothing I hate more than meaty won ton skin... It's paper thin... inside a pop crunchy and juicy shrimp filling which is tasty and delicious briny yet not too salty.. The soup is NOT salty at all (They also dont use MSG).. I like when Im given the option to salt my soup.. Freshly shredded carrot, scallions and perfectly cooked noodles makes this the best Chinese food on the beach..

Here's the promised update. Still an interesting mix of hit and miss from Wok Town. Ordered delivery again and got my fave Orange Peel shrimp, still delicious, an order of the Crispy Brussell Sprouts which were amazingly good, and also qualified, via a coupon, for free veg lettuce wraps. These were OK, and hey why look a gift horse in the mouth, right? But this time they forgot the rice. You heard that right. Chinese food, no rice. Hahaha, that is so Miami Beach spaced out. In any case I will continue to order from here on occasion and stick to my favorites, woks for me, this ain't San Francisco after all.

Dined in here today with a friend. I once again had the mongolian beef with noodles and was delicious! My friend had special fried rice and She said it was delicious. I also tasted her special fried rice and loved it. I also had the spring roll too and were delicious. Everything was fresh and delicious. Staff is very friendly and great service! I think Carlos attended us (thats what my receipt says) at the register and brought us the food. He was very friendly, professional and accomadating! Will keep coming back.

Folks, let me tell you about Wok Town. A group of us ended up here after a half an hour debate on where to go. We were all "up for anything"... except we each had our own criteria which contradicted someone else's. You know the kind of night I'm talking about? What we did agree on was: fairly cheap, fast, and close by. Eventually someone suggested Wok Town and said he'd been there twice and it was good. The place is fairly new so no one else had any objections. In fact, I'd say we were looking forward to trying it out. Especially since it meant we'd FINALLY agreed on a location. Here's what we ordered: Brussel Sprouts: AMAZING! I've only had brussel sprouts one other time in my life, and like everyone else on the planet, I hated them. These were crispy in a sweet teryaki-type glaze. So good. I promise. Fried Chicken Dumplings: I didn't try but Nancy L. said they were alright. Curry Noodles: I was told these were ridiculously spicy and all you could taste was curry. (Might as well have handed him curry powder and a spoon). Shrimp Pad Thai/Beef Pad Thai: I LOVE pad thai. I have had it at a gajillion places, and not once complained. This was horrible! I asked how spicy they make it because I never trust the spice meter on a new restaurant. They said I could have it mild if I wanted. Great, I'm about to stuff my mouth hole with delicious shrimp pad thai! Wrong! I get my plate and half the ingredients are missing! I'm not kidding. I double-check the menu to make sure they did in fact promise me lime, cilantro, and peanuts, as with every other pad thai on the planet. Yep, they were listed... back to my plate... nowhere to be found. Next to me, the beef pad thai was faring a little better as it was only missing one igredient. What? I don't want to be THAT girl, so I start to eat it the way it is. Yeah right, those noodles were so spicy it was seriously inedible. Now I can handle spicy, and if the flavors are done right, I can even handle really spicy but all I got was a bowl of noodles resting on a pool of Sriracha sauce. So all of a sudden, I realize I NEED those missing ingredients to calm this bad boy down. I ask for them and the lady at the counter says she'll get them right over. Then I have to wait for 15 minutes while they all do seemingly unimportant things (I see you over there counting cups!) before she brings out two of the three missing ingredients. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Where's the customer service? I just told you that half the ingredients aren't on my food and you don't apologize, you make me wait, and I STILL don't get all of them? Either way, adding the ingredients didn't do anything to salvage to meal. It's not that they employees were rude, they were actually pretty nice but they didn't really seem to care enough to put much effort into improving the experience. I ended up leaving all of it and dined on popcorn at the movies. Bummer. I'm glad other people had good experiences there, as the reviews reflected, but no one at our table seemed to be planning a future visit.

Tasy food, Super-friendly staff, clean. What more can I say? A tiny bit pricey but hey, it's South Beach. I had the chicken pad thai and it had lots of chicken in it. I also had the pork gyoza and it was pretty good too. I love the brussel sprouts appetizer!! And bubble teas are just an extra treat that you don't see at a lot of places around Sobe. I'll be back for sure!

I am so glad Wok Town has opened here. I'm reserving my 5th star for a couple more visits. Based on this trip alone, I would almost give it five stars based on the limited options available here. SOBE has a few Chinese restaurants (all are weak to poor in my opinion) and other Asian offerings, while better, are way overpriced, are hit or miss or don't do delivery. Wok Town probably won't pass muster with Asian residents (just guessing, since the cooks both appeared to be Latin), but this gringo was very pleased with "The Mongolian" - a dish normally served with red bell peppers, onions, scallions and a choice of protein (tofu, chicken, pork, beef, shrimp) with a savory-spicy chili soy sauce. Kitty, the server, who efficiently and politely handled the counter and the 6 tables, suggested I add broccoli (good suggestion - $2.00+). I ordered mine with chicken. I'm on a high protein diet and wish I had ordered extra chicken (she advised me that this would have been only $2.00 more). All in my meal with brown rice, iced tea and a fortune cookie was $20.00 (including tax and tip). It was a good sized lunch portion, but I would have probably still been hungry if this was dinner. The dish was very good. I have to say the sauce didn't have quite the depth I hoped for, but that could have just been my taste. I was expecting this to taste like Mongolian BBQ I've had in other cities and it wasn't that. Never the less, I brought home their menu, and I'm sure we will be ordering take out or delivery from here regularly. Their offerings include a nice selection of starters, appetizers, Asian inspired salads, fried rice boxes, noodle bowls and wok dishes. From Chicken Satay, Gyoza, Pad Thai, to Coconut Curry they seem to cover a broad range of Asian cuisines. I still don't understand why Miami Beach doesn't have a decent take out Chinese place. Perhaps the cost of rent here is just too high to make any money doing this, but it works in NYC and other larger cities. I guess we just don't have a critical mass of Asian residents to demand it or staff it. For now Wok Town is my new go to place for pseudo-Chinese. The fortune cookies are in a big wok at the front of the counter. Mine said that I'm patient and careful (we always add the words "in bed" to our fortunes). This is true. :-) Stop in and say hello Kitty! Let's support this place and keep it here for a good long time.

Passed by here for lunch last week while in the beach, since I liked the dntn location. Food was delicious, especially the lettuce wraps - very fresh. Happened to chat with the chef for a minute, and he was explaining how he makes the sauces (sweet n sour, dumpling, etc.) from *scratch*, like roasting red peppers on a flame and then building it up. I figured most places just purchase large containers of them from Sysco or their other food suppliers. Definitely not your typical greasy take-out spot, it's quite a bit fresher Pan-Asian option w/ some flair (thai/korean/chinese/american chinese). Bravo to opening another good spot!

It is so hard to find good Chinese food on the beach, probably because there is none. So when Wok Town opened a few months back I got excited. I have already been a few times, for in-house dining and for take out, and I am definitely a fan. The spring rolls and hot and sour soup are some favorites. The sweet and sour chicken and mongolian beef are good too. The owner is there frequently and he is super nice as well as the rest of the staff. If you are craving Chinese food and want something quick and for a good price, head over to Wok Town.

Happy to see this place buzzing with customers. It's tasty, clean, and decent food. I'll need to go back for a better review, but my shrimp wonton soup and chicken lettuce wraps were good. They deliver! And they also sell bubble tea, so now I HAVE to return, seeing as how the only other option on SoBe for bubble tea is MomoCha on Espaniola.

Feel a bit shorted with the Mongolian beef, but absolutely destroyed my entire plate. The Pad Thai was scrumptious and a definite recommendation. I ordered a Kirin, but they ran out so the waiter substituted it for an larger Saporro for the inconvenience and charged the same for it, which was like a dollar or two deference. So thanks for that!! The only thing that was a bit inconvenient was the men's bathroom was out of order and had it said to use the women's restroom. Other than that, this place would have been a five star.

Good pad thai! Mongolian beef wok was yummy but was overloaded with more veggies than beef! Give us more beef next time.

I wanted to order some Chinese delivery for my family. Wok town was the only restaurant willing to deliver all the way across the beach. The lady on the phone was friendly, clear, and easy to understand. The quoted time was spot on. The driver was friendly as well. The food was absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that we ordered two beef fried rice boxes. Each box only contained 3-5 pieces of beef. If I would've known how skimpy they were on the protein. I would ordered extra meat.

    (5)
  • Francisco A.

Tried it today for the 1st time. Place is super clean with cozy atmosphere. I got the Mongolian beef, which I have to say was superb. South Beach does not have a good Chinese place so Wok Town comes to fill a major void. Will definitely go back to enjoy the rest of the menu.

I had the bulgobi steak salad. I felt like a traveled straight to Korea. Okay maybe not but it was pretty great! The sauce was delicious and sweet and the steak was tender and tasty. A side of Brussels sprouts wre great. A little too sauced for my preferences but really great. The passion fruit ice tea was perfectly refreshing. I needed it bad after being in the humidity and heat if south beach. They didn't have Sake cups so they have us plastic disposable cups. I've had my high school days of partying so I was fine with it. Quite ghetto tho! I ain't afraid of no hood. Nice little spot for lunch!

  • Nicole K.

I honestly don't have much to say about this Americanized Asian joint. The food is decent and a $10 lunch special will keep it a viable option for a quick meal when I am having an MSG craving. The wok bowls are large and the service was very prompt. I felt the sauces on the two dishes my friend and I ordered were not very flavorful, but we added enough sauce to get them back up to par.

Miami lacks good chinese food. With that said, this place is the best I have come by (other than House of Sun in Miami Lakes). I like that their menu isn't typical. I also like that they deliver and do so in a very timely manner!

    (3)
  • Mindy G.

The lady who took my order was clearly new so I'll give them a break but she asked me 4 times what I wanted and still entered it in wrong and over-charged me. Otherwise, the place was quiet, the food came (ordered to go) within 10 minutes. The food was fine, but nothing special. I had the tofu with veggies and egg drop soup. It tasted okay but I felt like it was drenched in sauce.

My first few orders from Wok Town were great, but lately they have been very skimpy on the meat and overloading the veggies (usually a sign of a struggling restaurant trying to increase margins). This is an "average" Chinese food place that is a little overpriced.

    (3)
  • Catherine P.

Had the curry and it was absolutely awful and way overpriced. Bad Asian food is only acceptable when nothing on the menu is over $6. There's no way this place will last for long

Just visited the place today for first time. Very good and super fresh food. All you ordered is cocked for you Right on the spot. Pan Asian fusion menu, super clean and nice atmosphere. We had Mongolian Beef and Honey chicken. I'll come back for sure, very good choice for South Beach area and they can also deliver.

I usually don't write reviews, but I am so tired of restaurants messing up deliveries I mean, how hard is it to get the ENTIRE order inside the bag. Granted this has not been the only restaurant on the beach I have had this experience with, but unfortunately for them, today is when I has enough! I was so happy when I received their flyer under my door. The picture of the food and the menu looked great, so I ordered delivery the same day. My husband and I ordered a couple of items from the menu and we were looking forward to having dinner together on our balcony. Well, the food arrived and no rice! We had to call and complain that the rice didn't come with the order. They were actually nice and said that they would be sending it right away. That's great and all, but my husband ate his noodles (he was extremely hungry) and now I will have to eat my dinner alone...who known when the rice will get here. The point is....the rice is just a detail, but just a small mess up can ruin dinner plans. My husband's noodles was actually really good and I liked the salad wrap as well...now if only they could get the service right!

The waiter pushed the lunch special. Ok great deal. I ordered they were out of the appetizer you get with it told me 10 minutes after ordering. The other 3 choices which soup or fried eggroll which I don't like, so asked if the could just have the edamame the manager said NO. I ordered Broccoli Chicken dish it is sooo salty! Broccoli was barely cooked. While I ate the manager worked behind the counter while acting like she hated being there. Tall guy behind counter pretty nice almost feel bad for him as manager is not a good role model.

I have been a resident of Miami Beach for eight years and this is the worst delivery experience I have ever had. We were told it would be 20 minutes at 6:35 pm We just received the delivery at 8:04. When we called at 7:50 to ask where our order was and spoke to Jeremy and asked him to call the driver his response was "I can't. The driver won't answer his phone while driving." I continued to press him while he said o yes the order will be here I can't help it if we have a lot orders. That's true but you can help what time you say the order will be here. Also, you can help by calling and finding out if the driver is lost. In fact, if we had been told the order would take this long we would have order somewhere else. He eventually agreed to call the drive rand said to me you live in Sunset Island right?. No, we don't and if you thought that you should have called a lot earlier. The food then arrived and every single thing was cold which means it had been sitting there for quite a while. The soup was cold, all the entrees were cold and the customer service was rude. Our order came to $54.00 it was the worst food I have ever experience for the price. The steak in the bulgogi was burnt to a crip and cold, the hot and sour soup was watery and gross, the veggie wrap filling of vegetables was ice old and bland. Perhaps their food is decent when it arrives warm but this was a travesty. Their driver didn't apologize either. If you look at my reviews you will see I do not give very many one star reviews but this place deserves it. Next time I will remember my lesson here and order from Yummys who is reasonable, fast and has good customer service. Now, off to Publix to buy my dinner since this is inedible. Publix's Chinese Bar is probably better than this place.

Slowest restaurant ever. 30+ minutes from walk in to pickup of my order. When I asked me about it they seemed to stop cooking all together - there was only 1 guy in the kitchen and he was MIA.

Awful place. Elderly veggies pretending to be Asian. Terrible service. Got our orders wrong so had to send them back. When we got the "correct" orders, they were tasteless, prepared by a blond "chef". Asian? Edible? I don't think so. Bring back Meatball Joint!
